In Honduras, books are a rare, expensive resource. This leaves most children without opportunities for joyful reading, and students without the tools that inspire learning. Because of this, over 83% of 6th graders in Honduras experience learning poverty, meaning they cannot read and understand a simple text (UNESCO ERCE, 2019) – something which impacts their opportunities for life.

Just $7 can place one book each month into the hands of a child in Honduras, keeping our libraries stocked, collections fresh, and shelves filled with stories that ignite imagination. A steady flow of new books ensures diverse collections that spark diverse interests, because it only takes one book to light a lifelong love of reading.
Fan the flame of reading. Your $35 monthly gift helps provide essential elements that make our libraries come alive — from floor cushions for reading corners to custom bookshelves and cozy seating. Over time, your support builds the infrastructure that turns a room with books into a space that invites exploration. You’re nurturing the flame of curiosity and helping it grow.

Your $75 monthly gift helps cultivate a culture of reading through intentional teacher training, progress monitoring aligned with our 3-1-1 Reading Goals, and tailored coaching for educators and administrators. In return:Every Luminary will receive a gift from a Honduran student each year.
Flame, Beacon, and Legacy Luminaries can count on a free Holiday Book Dedication - a $25 value to gift to someone you love in their honor.
Beacon and Legacy Luminaries will have biannual Virtual Coffee Talks, where our Executive Director will share the inside scoop on their impact.

Your receipt each month provides a link to cancel your subscription. You can also pause or adjust your monthly donation at any time through your Donorbox portal.
