The Eagles Academy started in 2013 because of the need expressed by parents in the small village of Rio Lindo, San Francisco de Yojoa. Parents wanted to have a better quality option for schooling for their children and offer bilingual education tied with basic Christian values.
The implementation of a library through the Chispa Project, is a dream in our institution. This will be the first time our students have access to children's books instead of just textbooks. With these books, we will foster in children the habit and pleasure of reading, and using the library will take our students to a better cognitive level of understanding, analysis and reasoning. Above all, they will transform their learning in a creative way. Chispa Project is sponsoring a library of 300 books in English, and we at Eagles Academy have decided to fundraise to be able to purchase additional books in Spanish with their help. Within our own community, we have raised $100, and are now asking for your help. Please donate $25 today to help us reach our goal to purchase 100 more books in Spanish. Thank you for your support in giving the gift of reading and passing on this message to others you know who might help! |
