STEP 3: Prepare and get excited!

Sunday: Arrive, check-in. Prepare for the week!
Monday - Wednesday:
Work in the school to set up the library. Label books, paint murals, set up shelves, decorate the library. 3 days to get the whole library up and running!
Thursday - Friday:
Inauguration festivities. Help rotate kids through activity stations, assist teachers in their reading activities and help students with arts & crafts activities.
Sunday: Head home to tell all your friends how they majorly missed out, but should come next year.

Throughout the week, we provide small opportunities to learn more about Honduras culture and cuisine.

Our Volunteer Handbook can be downloaded above and is a great way to get to know details about how to best enjoy your trip. It includes everything from local customs, logistics of traveling, and what to expect here in Honduras. Details can vary between volunteer trips, so please let us know if you have any questions!

BONUS: This is a great trip for kids! In this rural area of Honduras, kids will have the opportunity to explore and get to know other kids from a different walk of life. Our basic accommodations in a small hotel is a contained area for kids to hang out at the end of the work day.
